A slick brand-new Toorak mansion that sold for $23.39m in August was Victoria’s most viewed home on realestate.com.au last year — and it’s easy to see why.
The Simonds Prestige build at 44-46 Hopetoun Rd is all class from head to toe, with a tennis court, pool, curved statement staircase and stylish travertine throughout.
It blew away the rest as the only home in the state to notch more than 100,000 listing views last year, with 125,000, followed by 3530 Frankston Flinders Rd, Merricks, with 90,000.
Victoria’s most viewed home, at 46 Hopetoun Rd, Toorak, is a slick design statement.
A mysterious brutalist-style Diamond Creek home that sold for $1.25m on December 22 was the third most viewed with 86,000.
Ray White Doreen director Scott Conway said it was a mortgagee sale and 1000 people came through but many discovered it needed too much work within once they arrived.
“The facade was amazing, but inside needed a truckload of the work,” he said.
Mr Conway said buyers had been drawn to its “different” and “unique” style for the area.
One of Victoria’s most expensive homes, 17 St Georges Rd, Toorak, which sold for almost $75m in August, “Toadie” actor Ryan Moloney’s Merricks property, and business high-flyer Radek Sali’s Flinders estate also featured in the top 10.
